Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that all persons who maintain, service,repair or dispose of appliances that contain regulated refrigerants be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques.

The exam covers topics like:
- Ozone depletion
- The Clean Air Act
- The Montreal Protocol
- The Three R’s (Recover, Recycle, Reclaim)
- Substitute refrigerants and oils
- Recovery techniques
- Dehydration evacuation
- Section 608 regulations
Class Format: Class meets for two days – 4 hours each day – and concludes with the EPA section 608 test.
